9/22/12 - Mud Slog

After all the fun Kennedy and I had doing the dirty dash we couldn't wait to get into the mud again.  We got a little team together of Kennedy's friends and raised a little money for the Special Olympics in Carter's name.  We then got to get dirty running "The Mud Slog." 

I thought it was hilarious that we were hosed off by a firetruck at the end.  Hahaha.

9/18/12 - My Friend, Mariama Kallon

 I met Mariama at a Time Out for Women's Event in The Woodlands, TX.  My good friend Sherron Kendrick introduced us.  She is an inspiring lady from Sierra Leone, Africa.  She has an amazing story about escaping during the war there even though the rest of her family was killed.  She later joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the Mormons) and was sent on a mission to Salt Lake City, UT.

It was fun to go to the Houston Temple later that week and then out to lunch with her and some very good and dear friends.
