2/23/13 - 1st Place in Pinewood Derby For Carter?

The night before the Pinewood Derby I finally decided I better make Carter a car to race.  I had been waiting for Nick to do it but his work schedule was crazy.  So, I got the wooden block out of the box, made a simple cut in the front, sanded it down and had Carter paint it red.  Then I helped him put on some bug stickers he picked out.  Done!

Well........his car won first place.  He won 7 out of 8 races and set a track record.   Hahahah!!!!!  I felt so bad for all the Dad's who had spent hour on helping their kids make Bat Mobiles and Classic cars.  Carter had a blast!

2/2/13 - Houston, We Have A Problem

 We took the kids to Space Center Houston.  We had always wanted to visit and knew we had to go do it before we moved away from Houston.

 They had lots of cool original things to look at and do.  We got to go inside the mission control area and see the place they test all the space capsules, rovers, and other equipment.

They had a movie playing of when Preisdent John F. Kennedy was talking about our race to the moon.  Kennedy stepped behind a pulpit they set up and took a picture.
