4/30/13 - Carter's 10th Birthday

 I always put up crepe paper decorations for all my kids birthdays, no matter how old they get, they know there will be streamers.  The boys always want to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for their birthday and so that is where we went.  

Carter loved having all the attention when we sang happy birthday to him.  He kept pointing at himself......so funny.

4/25/13 - Orioles

 Carter usually plays for the Astros in his special needs baseball league, but the Astros are changing their logo this year so they made his team the Orioles instead.

 He had a lot of fun playing again this year.  We are really going to miss all these wonderful people that we share so much in common with.  They gave Carter a couple of special shirts and a baseball signed by everyone to say goodbye.

Kennedy spent a lot of time during this baseball season volunteering to help with all the little baseball players before and during the game.  It was good for her to because she was able to count them as some of her NJHS service hours.

4/24/13 - Closing Day

We closed on our house today.  We had to come up with almost $50,000 to buy our way out of the house we love and don't want to leave.  It feels like we just paid some strangers $50,000 to kick us out of our house and make us homeless.    OK, that's a dramatic description, but it's the way we feel.  It will break my heart if we don't like Pennsylvania.  We are going to pay the new owner's rent until we move out in June.

4/16/13 - KC Baseball

Carter was invited to come to the local high school and throw out the first pitch at the Klein Collins baseball game.  He was so tiny out their but he did a good job.  Kennedy and the family had a good time hanging out with Jacob and his family.

4/9/13 - National Junior Honor Society

Kennedy was chosen and accepted into the National Junior Honor Society.  She had actually been working really hard to be eligible and getting straight A's for years.  We were very upset to find out that the induction ceremony was going to happen while Nick and I were on a trip to Pennsylvania to try to find a place to live.  She had to go with her friend Neha and we missed everything.
